Travel Highlights
The run from Ely to Jackson was mostly on Hwy 50 across the Nevada desert. Man, this day took the temperature record. Over 110 and not a cloud in the sky. Once we crossed the California State line and got on Hwy 88, also known as the Kit Carson Pass, the beauty of California jumped out at us. Man, are we Californians blessed. It is so easy to find roads and areas as beautiful as anywhere in the country right here in our back yard. We found a good deal at a new Holiday Inn Express and settled in for our last night on the road. We did a little laundry and went to our last movie on the road. Other then the noise through the un-insolated walls in this hotel it was a great last night.
